The Practice
The practice was founded in 1982 and was one of the first practices to move offices to the suburbs, for client's convenience. A broad based general practice the firm has particular specialities in the fields of property law, litigation and injury claims, Wills and Probate, Family Law and in the area of business law.

Property
Whether the client is private or corporate, and whether the property is residential or commercial the firm can meet all a client's needs. Sale, purchases, lettings or re-mortgages and issues involving title are all dealt with by specialist personnel. Whether you are moving to the home of your dreams or building up an investment property portfolio your case will be handled in an efficient and speedy manner. Costs can be agreed at an initial consultation.

Litigation and Injury Claims
Again whether a commercial dispute or a road traffic accident you claim will be handled sensitively and efficiently to protect your rights. Specialist personnel who handle nothing but compensation claims work in teams to ensure maximum compensation and generally costs can be recovered from the offending party.

Wills & Probate
Everybody who owns property or has children should have a Will, and a Will needs reviewed regularly to ensure that it continues to reflect your circumstances and needs. Whether it is a straight forward Will or an Estate that needs careful Inheritance Tax planning we can help, if necessary working with your own Accountant and Financial Advisers in a holistic, comprehensive manner.

Family Law
This is one of the most sensitive aspects of law as there is considerable distress associated with marital and partnership breakdown. We aim to deal with this situation in a sensitive, sympathetic and sensible way - negotiation and discussion will always be used as an alternative to litigation which may aggravate rather than resolve matters. We advise on the various options available including separations, divorce, adoption, custody and access disputes and voluntary or private separation agreements not involving Court appearances. Also if there has been violence involved we will seek to obtain orders for your protection.

Business Law & Advice
Whether moving offices, dealing with staff issues, drafting specialist agreements with commercial partners, buying a business or selling your own business, Margaret will talk you through the issues and actively involve herself and her staff in negotiating terms if that is necessary. The field of intellectual property is also handled, whether protecting design rights or litigating to protect your rights of ownership.
